Cultivating Farms, Food and Happy People!

Farm2Fork is a picnic event created and run by our friends at NC State and the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) to promote equitable food and farming systems that help conserve our natural resources while strengthening our communities. This event is a fun and delicious way to directly contribute to North Carolina agriculture and celebrate the close relationships between local farmers and chefs/artisans, like Videri.

Although cacao doesn’t grow around here, we do regularly use local dairy and produce in our chocolate creations. Each year for Farm2Fork we create a new bite to savor: this year was a dark chocolate cup filled with chocolate goat cheese ganache and blueberry compote with local ingredients from Goat Lady Dairy (goat cheese), Simply Natural (butter), Cedar Grove (blueberries) and Uwharrie Mountain Honey.

This event is a super fun way to support and promote local agriculture, as well as help strengthen and educate our next generation of farmers, and we’re delighted to participate every summer.
