Factory Happenings

Videri is proud to present our new single-bar packaging!  It's all of your same favorite chocolate bars, dressed in a new sleek and modern design.  Single-bar packaging allows us to share more chocolate with more people and allows our customers the opportunity to buy different flavors rather than committing to a box with two of the same chocolate bars. That's something we haven't been able to offer in the past and is super exciting! Think of all the chocolate you can eat now!

Celebrate with us by checking out our new design online and at the factory!

Fresh Levant Bistro

Meet our newest partners, Anita Khalek and Wael Masri, the passionate Proprietors behind Fresh Levant Bistro in Raleigh. Anita founded Fresh Levant Bistro with a passion for quality ingredients and her love for the flavors and cuisine of the Levant region of the eastern Mediterranean. Her menu rotates weekly, but there are three things that every dish has in common, they are organic, gluten free and soy free. She has committed to non-GMO and organic foods and also sources many ingredients from local and regional suppliers who share her same passion for quality.

Gizmo Brew Works: Aztec Gold

Videri is on a mission, and that mission is to drink the Aztec Gold at Gizmo Brew Works! Gizmo Brew Works is a local brewery located in North Raleigh, founded in April of 2013. We had the great honor of partnering with Gizmo on their Inventor Series, which is Gizmo's "salute to key inventors or inventions who made an impact on the world in which we live."

The Aztec Gold, 01/08/2016, Gizmo Brew Works, 5907 Triangle Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617

The Aztec Gold was inspired by a traditional drink called Chocolatl, made by the ancient tribes of Central America and Mexico.  Traditionally, this drink was spiritual and consumed for many medicinal reasons.  The drink was made by grinding cocoa nibs into a paste, mixed with water and spiced.  Pulling from this history, Gizmo appropriately named their beer Aztec Gold after the ancient empire, where cocoa beans were the primary currency.

The Aztec Gold is an imperial chocolate stout that is realeased in November every year. This year's edition was made with  roasted cocoa nibs that came from one of our close partners, Maya Mountain Cacoa in Belize.  It has a 9.2% ABV and is bursting with chocolate and vanilla flavor.  The last keg might be kicked, but you can still find their bottles at the brewery!

Cheers From Videri, 01/08/2016, Gizmo Brew Works, 5907 Triangle Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617

Durham Co-op Market

Have you checked out the Durham Co-op Market in Durham, North Carolina?  The Durahm Co-op Market opened their doors in March of 2015 and is one of our newer partners!  They have put emphasis on sourcing locally grown and made products and have spent the time getting to know the products they put on their shelves.  The staff are among the nicest, knowing the sources and stories of the food they feed you.  Open 7 days a week, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m, Durham Co-op is an easy one stop shop, open to everyone.  Although, consider joining!

You can find our chocolate bars on the shelves strategically placed between the Deli/Kitchen Department and the Wine and Beer Department, the perfect trifecta for the most delicious of combinations!  Ask Jessie at the Deli for chocolate recomendations and pairings.

The Videri Team will be at the Durham Co-op on Sunday, January 10th from 12pm-2pm.  Pick up some groceries, have lunch and enjoy some chocolate samples with us!
