Videri is on a mission, and that mission is to drink the Aztec Gold at Gizmo Brew Works! Gizmo Brew Works is a local brewery located in North Raleigh, founded in April of 2013. We had the great honor of partnering with Gizmo on their Inventor Series, which is Gizmo's "salute to key inventors or inventions who made an impact on the world in which we live."

The Aztec Gold was inspired by a traditional drink called Chocolatl, made by the ancient tribes of Central America and Mexico.  Traditionally, this drink was spiritual and consumed for many medicinal reasons.  The drink was made by grinding cocoa nibs into a paste, mixed with water and spiced.  Pulling from this history, Gizmo appropriately named their beer Aztec Gold after the ancient empire, where cocoa beans were the primary currency.

The Aztec Gold is an imperial chocolate stout that is realeased in November every year. This year's edition was made with  roasted cocoa nibs that came from one of our close partners, Maya Mountain Cacoa in Belize.  It has a 9.2% ABV and is bursting with chocolate and vanilla flavor.  The last keg might be kicked, but you can still find their bottles at the brewery!

Cheers!
