RecIpe: Cocoa Nib Streusel
One of our favorite ways to add a little extra chocolate to the top of a pie, a bowl of ice cream, or whatever you deem needs an extra crunch!
Ingredients
1 cup All Purpose Flour
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
1/4 cup Videri Cocoa Nibs
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
4 ounces Unsalted butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine flour, cocoa nibs, brown sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Remove from heat and stir in flour mixture until moistened and small clumps form.
Return to low heat and cook, stirring frequently, until streusel is well toasted, 8 to 10 minutes approximately. Some bigger clumps will eventually form.
Spread streusel on a parchment-lined sheet tray to cool (will firm up as it sits)
Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
