Sam loves to talk chocolate! Whether the party is virtual, at our factory, or at your office, Sam is happy to guide participants through a tasting journey and share his love of cacao!

Virtual Tasting Events

Videri’s founder and head chocolate maker, Sam Ratto, will guide participants through a tasting of Videri’s award winning, mouth watering, bean to bar chocolates. A sample of topics include:

  • How chocolate is made. Where the beans come from, the process of sorting, roasting, and winnowing. 

  • What is fair trade, where is cacao grown, and how is it propagated?

  • What goes into making a bonbon? Different cooking methods, the anatomy of the bonbon shell, and how our confections team create new flavors using premium, local ingredients.

There is a $500 merchandise minimum in order for Sam to lead a tasting. Boxes start at $60 per person and include shipping.

Videri Space Buyout

Host your next company party or event at Videri! Our factory is available to buy-out for private events Tuesday-Sunday from 6-9PM.

During your event, Sam will lead a personal tour of the factory that concludes with a guided chocolate bar tasting and Q&A.

The cost does not include additional chocolate, soft serve ice cream, or food. Guests can bring their own catering and beer or wine. There is a 35 person maximum for the space. Weather dependent, guests can also use the patio.

In-Person Tastings With Sam

Have Sam join the party and lead an in-person tasting event! During the event, Sam will talk with your guests about where cacao grows, how chocolate is made, and what to look for when buying chocolate. Sam is happy to customize the event to best fit the audience. For example, beer and wine pairings and tasting events are a popular request and make for a fun in-person event.

Sam can talk about chocolate for hours but typically in-person tastings are roughly an hour to an hour-and-a-half.
